IS GVO Profits a Scam ?

GVO PROFITS Oct 20 2009

I’ve been seeing a few emails about GVO PROFITS so I thought I would check it out.

It’s basically a 2x10 Matrix at $44.95 per month making it one of the most expensive I have looked at.  However you get a 14 day trial for only $1.  I think this is a good idea as if you gave the trial away for free then you would have too many tire kickers coming in a falsely filling up the matrix.  This is what I think may happen with Teamwork Revolution Power System, but time will tell.

The product is a combination of web hosting, auto responder, video conferencing and hot conferencing (webinars).  I am not knocking the product by any means, this is certainly good and useful stuff for some people, but the majority of people don’t use or need these things.  Again, I think we have another matrix where over 90% of people will join purely for the opportunity and won’t even look at the products.  But there’s no shame in that.

First thing I take issue with is their evaluation of their products worth.  The “Unlimited Domain Hosting” is valued at $40 per month ! Where does that ridiculous number come from ?  I pay less than $4 per month for the very same thing and I know for a fact it can easily be found cheaper than that.  Moreover, the majority of internet providers out there would never charge more than $10 for such a product as the competition is so strong.  Perhaps GVO PROFITS scoured the internet to see who was charging the most for this service and stumbled upon some ridiculous company charging $40 per month, which allowed them to falsely over inflate the value of their product.  I can’t comment on the valuations GVO PROFITS put on the other aspects of their products (ie autoresponder, hot conference etc) as I haven’t looked into the pricing of these.  But if the over valuing of their webhosting is anything to go by, my instincts tell me those products are also grossly over valued.

That’s not to say GVO PROFITS is a scam by any means.  Just like any opportunity if you work at it and market it and get referrals you will make money of course.  Further, with the matrix being 2x10 you are guaranteed maximum possible spillover.  I really love these 2 wide matrixes.  However keep in mind that when you join this program, unless you are ridiculously lucky enough to get directly under a “heavy hitter” (highly unlikely) you will most likely spillunder someone who is unsuccessful.  That’s just how spillover works, the weak are the ones that receive all the spillover.  That in turn results in low spillover for you as the person above you isn’t doing anything, or is trying without success.  Your spillover in that case will be dependant upon the heavy hitter who is much higher up the matrix then you are, which results is a slow trickle spillover rate at best.  So just be prepared for that scenario, which in reality turns out to be the norm for many.

The commission structure isn’t so great either.  The first month they give a 50% commission on all your personal referrals.  That essentially means the company gives most of the first month’s money back to the members which is a great idea to keep motivation levels up.  But in order to be in a long term monthly profit situation (after the first month) you need 5 direct referrals.  Indirect referrals (ie spillover) are only worth 5% which means you would need 20 of those to break even.  So if you are planning to join GVO PROFITS and have little experience don’t expect to be making any money for at least a few months.  It’s possible of course to be in profits within a few weeks (anything is possible) but look at this realistically and be willing to risk about $200 if you are serious about this long term.

The long term commission structure is 5% on everyone up to 10 levels down.  However you get a 20% bonus on anyone you personally referred into the program.  I think this is the only advatange GVO PROFITS has over Teamwork Revolution Power SystemTeamwork Revolution Power System give the same commission for each member regardless of whether you recruited them or not.  I think this may create a society of laziness as people don’t get rewarded anything extra for their personal referrals, so they get into the mindset of letting everyone else do the work.  This could in turn dangerously spread to everyone bringing the whole thing to a halt and maybe even imploding.

However, even with this one drawback of Teamwork Revolution Power System, I still believe overall it’s better than GVO PROFITS and has a better chance at going the distance because of it’s other advantages.  One must weigh up all the pros and cons of each program before coming to a decision.  Teamwork Revolution Power System is $15 per month cheaper and you only need 2 referrals from spillover, or otherwise, to break even.  The products are almost identical and the payout percentage is higher than GVO PROFITS.  You will be in a profit situation much quicker in Teamwork Revolution Power System than with GVO PROFITS.  This is an important factor to consider when joining one of these programs, as people drop out quickly if they aren’t making money or at least breaking even.  GVO PROFITS needs 5 direct recruits/referrals, 20 spillover or a combination of both (either way a minimum of 5) to break even, whereas Teamwork Revolution Power System only needs 2 from either spillover or direct recruitment, it doesn’t matter where they come from it’s only 2.

I find it hard to believe that GVO PROFITS will be able to compete with Teamwork Revolution Power System, which is why I won’t bother joining GVO PROFITS when I am already in Teamwork Revolution Power System.
