Maximum Spillover
When starting out on my online experiment, I had the same goal everyone else has, which was to obtain MAXIMUM SPILLOVER. How can one obtain this goal ?
First of all, spillover can only occur in a forced matrix program. Global Domains International (GDI) for example in not a forced matrix so it's impossible to recieve spillover with them.
Second, you must analyze the forced matrix you are about to enter. The wider the matrix, the slower the rate of spillover will be. For example, Teamwork Revolution and Revolutionary Matrix are both matrixes with a width of 5 (however Revolutionary Matrix will launch a more expensive 3x6 matrix mid July 2009). Work For $3 is a width of 3, whereas 4x1 Fortune and EZ 2x2 are both a width of 2. So, theoretically EZ 2x2 and 4x1 Fortune will give the highest spillover rates. Fast Profit Powerlines is a single line matrix, so in theory this gives the most spillover, however in practice it doesn't work as was shown by my experiment with them (ie I still haven't gotten paid).
However, spillover is also dependant on your sponsor. Perhaps the MOST important factor in getting MAXIMUM SPILLOVER is choosing the right sponsor. If your sponsor is very good at getting signups, then you are likely to recieve spillover regardless of the matrix structure. For me, I have recieved more spillover in Teamwork Revolution than in any other program I have joined and yet Teamwork Revolution is the WIDEST matrix I have joined. So, it SHOULD have provided the lowest spillover, but because my sponsor was experienced and successful, I recieved the most spillover in that program.
Another key factor is ensuring you get on the first line of a good sponsor. This is probably the hardest and almost impossible thing to achieve. I was fairly lucky with Teamwork Revolution as I had already begun chatting with my sponsor before they joined Teamwork Revolution. My sponsor was already a successful Global Domains International (GDI) affiliate with a decent sized downline. I saw this as a great opportunity to benefit from that downline as naturally after joining Teamwork Revolution they marketed it to their Global Domains International (GDI) downline. Teamwork Revolution is better than GDI in many ways so I was certain many of the GDI downline members would join Teamwork Revolution. I stipulated that I would only join them in Teamwork Revolution if I was on their first line. My sponsor agreed and the rest is history. I received 2 or 3 spillovers in the first week.
If you happen to find a good sponsor, it's highly unlikely you will get on their first line. If for some reason a sponsor tells you there is a spot on their first line available, don't get so excited. You need to ask yourself : "If this guy is so good, why hasn't he filled his first line yet ?".
So as you can see, getting MAXIMUM SPILLOVER is a very hard goal to acheive. It's something we all want, but in reality, very few can ever achieve it.
When I started in Work For $3, there were a few people who really lucked out and recieved MAXIMUM SPILLOVER from me. I have about 90 in my downline in that program now after almost 2 months. So imagine how happy they must be now that they each have a downline of 30 without doing anywork whatsoever. How great they must have felt to see an email arrive every few days telling them they have made a commission from my hard work. I'm happy I was able to provide them with that maximum spillover and possibly even change their mind about online marketing. So many people have been decieved into joining many programs only to be let down and dissappointed. Those 3 in my first line have certainly not felt that way and I'm glad about that. Even the 9 on my second line must feel pretty good about recieving 10 spillovers from me within about 2 months. Not bad for doing no work whatsoever.
So when joining any forced matrix program, it's good to shop around a little bit to try to find the best sponsor. However, my advice is to make the business your own. There isn't a single program out there that will make you rich purely on spillover. If anyone promises you TONS of spillover, be very weary of such a promise. This is almost an impossible promise to make. Look at the matrix you are joining. If it's a 5x6 like Teamwork Revolution or Revolutionary Matrix, and you get on the first line of someone, then you will recieve 20% (1 in 5) of their signups. There are very very few people out there who can average 1 signup per day in such a program, and even if they did you would only get 6 spillovers per month. Further, anyone who can average 1 signup per day would fill their line within 5 days, so whats the chances of you getting on the first line of an amazing marketer ? Do you see the impossible dream fizzling out before your eyes ?
Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's just the reality of the MAXIMUM SPILLOVER dream.
On top of all that, when you are in a forced matrix there is nothing stopping your upline from placing their recruits where they want them to go. So, even if a forced matrix situation with an excellent sponsor, it's possible to get zero spillover. I have seen this happen.
Therefore, if you choose to embark on one of these forced matrix opportunities, my advice is to just pretend spillover doesn't exist. That way, when it happens it's a bonus. When I started out I had the same dream and I was only dissappointed when the spillover didn't occur. I decided to forget about spillover and just get on with marketing myself and since then my success has begun. In fact, I have been able to provide spillover to others, something that my previous sponsors were unable to do for me. How satisfying that has been !
