Online Business Opportunities Reviewed

JULY 2010 - Unfortunately WF3D have decided to change their structure completely.  What used to be a one time $3 fee to join has now changed into a FREE membership or a premium $3/month membership.  This has obviously been done in an effort to make the company more profitable for themselves but I personally believe this may be short sighted as the appeal (in my opinion) of this company was the small one time $3 fee.  It was a great way for newbies to get their feet wet and learn how to market online with an easy sell product/service.  For this reason I will now have to downgrade this opportunity to just "OK".  It's still works and you can make money from it and they have proven their trustworthiness by being around for so long and always paying on time.  However, I don't think people will pay the $3 monthly fee (which is actually a $36 yearly fee) to join this.  I think this will die a slow death for me and now this is why I will upgrade the previously "OK" program 4x1 Fortune to the best online MLM I have tried.  It is a higher $11 one time fee but then again the payouts are higher as a result.  It's a little harder than WF3D (old version) was, but in light of WF3D's recent changes I now think 4x1 Fortune will be easier and overtake WF3D in success from here on out.  In the meantime you can read my review below of the original old WF3D and how it was successful for me.  All the best with your search for a good online business!

Sep 30 (4.5 Month Mark) - I now have a Work for $3 (WF3D) downline of 348 and growing strong.  95 of those are personal referrals and the rest (253) are spillunder.  The power of matrixes is starting to show itself now.  This should demonstrate that it's through persistence and patience that these things actually work.  This is a very easy program so the results are quite quicker than other opportunities.  Other programs will take longer than 3 months before they really start to get rolling. As you can see from the chart above, the first few weeks are slow going, less than 10 referrals per week.  But as time goes by and people you have signed up begin to signup up people themselves, the signup rates increase dramatically.  The last 4 weeks have been over 20 signups per week, whereas the first 4 were less than 10.  Keep checking back to see how things progress.

If I look at how things have progressed from the beginning I can see the snowball effect forming:

May - 69 signups (most of which were obtained by me)

Jun - 38 signups

Jul - 57 signups

Aug - 83 signups

Sep - 101 signups

As you can see the signup numbers are steadily increasing each month.  It will be very interesting to see if this trend continues.  What is more, during the last few months most of the signups have NOT been obtained by me but rather from those whom I have already recruited (which is the way this is supposed to work)

This has been my most easy and most successful venture so far (sign-ups/sales wise) in my online marketing experiment.  The signup rate has been over 1 per day.  That is why I recommend this program to anyone looking to try out online marketing with minimal investment. This is especially good for beginners.

This program is basically a 3x15 forced matrix and the "product" is a mailing list builder. However, I doubt very few people care about the mailing list aspect of it. Most are in it to try to make money.  Truth is, a mailing list is the most valuable thing an online marketer can have.  Therefore, for anyone starting out in on-line marketing, I think this is the absolute best place to start.  Use this program to build your list and make money while doing so.  You can then take things to the next level by marketing other good opportunities to those who have joined you, but make sure you have a good reputation with your downline.  Keep in regular contact with them and help them as best you can to be successful themselves.

I joined this on May 5th.  It costs $3 + $0.40 Alertpay fee to join.  As of writing this (June 14) I have personally signed up 64 people, and those 64 people have signed up a total of 25 people for a grand total 89 downline.

I think this is very good considering my goal was to get only 3 people in my first month.  The reason behind this is the goal of 3 people within the first month compounds very nicely after 1 year as long as everyone does the same.  See chart below :

So as you can see only 3 people in your first month (and then do nothing ever again ie RETIRE), if accomplished by everyone who joins, results in a $5,904 income in your 10th month.  And it continues to grow exponentially.  Not bad for only 1 months work and 3 referrals/sign ups.

However, the problem is motivating those OTHER people to market the product.  As you can see from my results most people aren't getting any signups at all.  On the other hand I now have a few people on my team who are becoming very successful and recently have been outperforming me ! Wonderful !

That is the biggest challenge you will face in these sorts of programs.  Especially forced matrixes that provide spillover.  A forced matrix with spillover is more appealing to everyone and will therefore attract more signups, however the down side to that is many lazy people will want to come along for the free ride.  However, if you persist and continue to promote you WILL eventually get some people who are dedicated and will promote for themselves.  This has happened for me but only because I continue to promote.  Therefore I recommend not giving  up after just 3 referrals.  Make this a long term commitment if possible.

In this program as with all forced matrixes, however, the free ride is a very, very long one.  I often remind my signups that all they need is 3 people to make a HUGE contribution to their success, however, so far those reminders have for the most part been ignored.  Thankfully though as time goes on more and more people decide to give this a try.  I will continue to encourage people to do so.

Therefore I give this program a HIGH RECOMMENDATION, especially for beginners.  It's only a $3.40 cost to join, and the potential is for that to become $1000s and even $10,000s.  However, patience and persistence is key, unless of course you are lucky enough to only get people who are active marketers.  I theoretically should be able to sit back and relax after 3 recruits and let them "take the torch" so to speak and carry on the process.  But in reality you will find that you need to recruit more than 3 to ensure you get some active successful people on your team.

Granted, as with all programs, a marketing plan is a must. That is something I have and has been working. You can't necessarily just join a program and start promoting your referral link. That is not how I was able to be so successful at this. You need an edge, and that is something I have developed and has worked. I will never share my marketing methods on this review site, those are something only for people who join me in these ventures. So if you want to give this a go join me and I will give you the guidance you need to get off to a good start. One of the best people I have on my team was initially reluctant to join because she said she hadn't signed up ANYONE in 6 years of online marketing. She went against her gut instinct and joined me on this venture and using my method she had a signup within 24 hrs.   She is now one of the most successful recruiters out of over 200.  So it's not only a successul program one needs to find, but also a good marketing plan or a good sponsor who already has a good marketing plan.

However, the downside to this opportunity is the low commision amounts.  After your first 3, your  commissions are only $0.10-$0.62 maximum, depending on whether its spillover or direct referrals.  If you don't think such small commission amounts are worth your marketing time, then you should consider the other one-time payment recommended program 4x1 Fortune.  It's $11 as apposed to $3, however the payments are much higher.   FURTHER, the spillover rates of 4x1 Fortune are 50% MORE than this $3 opportunity.  So, if you are willing to risk $11 instead of $3, I highly recommend 4x1 Fortune.  If you are leary, and perhaps a bit skiddish about being conned or scammed, then try this one out first to get your feet wet and maybe consider moving into 4x1 Fortune after you see that you can actually be successful in online marketing.

MY TIMELINE

Joined April 29 2009 - 1st Week Did Nothing

May 6 - Started Marketing

May 13 - (After only 1 week) Directly Referred 15 People & those 15 referred 8, for a total Work for $3 (WF3D) downline of 23

May 31 - (After only 2.5 weeks) Directly Referred 51 People & those 51 referred 20, for a total Work for $3 (WF3D) downline of 71 and $35.82 commission.

June 30 - (After 8 Weeks) Directly Referred 71 People & those 71 referred 39, for a total Work for $3 (WF3D) downline of 110 and $52.36 total commission thus far.

July 19  - I now have a downline of 125.  78 were referred by me personally, so 47 were referred by my downline (ie spillunder).  For a total commission thus far of $58.56.  That means since my last update on June 30th I have referred 7 people, however my downline has referred 8 people.  So finally my downline is beginning to out peform me which is great.  I was able to motivate a few more to try promoting and I will continue to encourage more to promote and train them also.

July 22 - (2.5 Months) Directly Referred 80 People & those 80 referred 54, for a total Work for $3 (WF3D) downline of 134 and $62.36 total commission thus far.  You can see my indirect referrals are now increasing faster than my personal direct referrals, so the snowball is beginning to roll.  Wonderful !

July 30 - (still not quite 3 months) In the past 8 days I have personally referred 5 people but the amazing thing is my downline have referred 19 in the same 8 days.  This is great !  My Downline are WAY out performing me now which proves things are really starting to come together now. Total commission to date $72.16.  Total Work for $3 (WF3D) Downline Size 158, 85 direct referrals by me and 73 by my downline.  It won't be long before my downline overtakes me in signups.

Aug 3 - My personal referrals are starting to slow down however my downline members are really starting to take off.  Since the last update I have referred 12 people, but in that same time my downline has referred 10.  It won't be long before my downline are signing up more people than me showing the system works and the ball is really starting to roll now.  This experiment is working out quite well.  Total Work for $3 (WF3D) downline size now at 168.

Aug 7 - Today is another day for celebration as someone in my downline got their first signup ! That means yet another person has decided to market this for themself which in turn speeds up the "snowball" for me.  I now have 89 personal referrals and 89 indirect referrals.  I am literally on the verge of being taken over by my team ! Total Work for $3 (WF3D) downline size now at 178.

Aug 7 (after writing the above update) - Well it has finally happened.  I got another spillunder just hours after writing this update which means my downline have now out performed me.  Of course this is bound to happen, I was just curious to see how long it would take.  It's almost exactly 3 months in (from the date I started marketing).  I now have 89 personal referrals and 90 indirect for a total of 179.

Aug 10 - Today is another cause for celebration as yet another downline member just got his first referral/signup.  That gives me still 89 direct referrals but I now have 97 indirect (7 in the last 3 days) for a total Work for $3 (WF3D) downline size of 186 and 27 people who have referred at least 1 person.  That means 159 people are either not trying at all or are trying and failing.  Either way this is really coming together.

Aug 11 - I couldn't resist posting another update.  Today my team signed up 6 people all in one day ! That must be a record.  I now have 89 personal referrals and 103 indirect referrals (also known as spillunder) for a total Work for $3 (WF3D) downline size now of 192.

Aug 25 - I now have a Work for $3 (WF3D) downline of 232 and growing strong.  92 of those are personal referrals and the rest (140) are spillunder.  So you can see since the last update 2 weeks ago I have only personally referred 3 people, but my downline has grown by 40.  The power of matrixes is starting to show itself now.  This should demonstrate that it's through persistence and patience that these things actually work.  This is a very easy program so the results are quite quicker than other opportunities.  Other opportunities will take longer than 3 months before they really start to get rolling.

Aug 31 - (almost 4 Months) Directly Referred 92 People & those 92 referred 153, for a total Work for $3 (WF3D) downline of 245. So the last week has brought in 13 referrals completely on autopilot i.e. through no effort of my own.  I am now performing some experimenting of new ways to get referrals as I seem to have leveled out at 92.  My original sources have dried up and my downline members are out performing me recently.

Sep 10 - Today I got my first personal sign up in quite some time, however my spillunder has been great.  I now have 93 personal signups and 188 indirect for a total downline of 281.  That's 35 spillunders in just 10 days !  Further, there are slowly more and more people beginning to market.  There have been a few people in the last week or so that have received their FIRST referral which is a great sign of further growth potential.

Sep 25 - I am continuing to struggle to get personal sign ups despite my advertising efforts.  However, I am still seeing decent spillunder as a result of a few very successful recruits doing very well for themselves, which is the whole key to success with this.  I have 95 personal signups now and an incredible 248 indirect signups (spillunder) for a total Work for $3 downline size of 343.  I could of course stop my personal advertising efforts all together and just let the spillunder take over, but this is too much fun.  I have hit a dry patch and it is now an interesting challenge for me to find a way to continue my earlier success, so I will continue to experiment with various advertising avenues.

Oct 16 - 371 members now.  Again mostly from spillunder.  Further, it's nice to see some of the people who joined me in the beginning get their first referrals increasing the number of people who have had success.

Nov 11 - 410 members now.  Things have slowed down this past month.  This has certainly been a bit of a surprise but at least it's still growing at a rate of at least 1 person per day.  Should be very interesting to see how this grows over the next year.

Nov 19 - 420 members now.  I just checked my total for October and I only got 38 signups in total for that month.  A big drop from the 101 in September so I am a little disappointed and surprised, as I really expected each month to be more than the last.  Nevertheless I am not giving up on this as it has been the highest money maker so far and is still building almost daily.  I should be at 729 members now according to my chart above but of course not everyone is marketing, or at least not everyone is successfully marketing.  I am seeing more and more NEW people begin to recruit for themselves so the future is looking good, just not as quickly as I had estimated.  However if you look at the chart for everyone recruiting just one person per month then I am way ahead of schedule :

1st Month - 1 member in downline (earning $1.50)

2nd Month - 3 members in downline (1 recruited by yourself and 1 by your downline - earning $4.50)

3rd Month - 7 members in downline (1 recruited by yourself and 3 by your downline - earning $5.36)

4th Month - 15 members in downline (earning $6.70)

5th Month - 31 members in downline (earning $8.92)

6th Month - 63 members in downline (earning $12.52)   - it is now my 6th month and I have 430, so I'm WAY ahead of this schedule.  Let's see if it continues ....

7th Month - 127 members in downline (earning $19.32)

8th Month - 255 members in downline (earning $32.52)

9th Month - 511 members in downline (earning $58.52)

10th Month - 1023 members in downline (earning $110.12)

11th Month - 2047 members in downline (earning $212.92)

Dec 1 - 454 Members now, still only about 100 by me.  It has really picked up this last week, I don't know why.  For the past 8 weeks it has been less than 20 new signups per week.  You can see how it dropped off, something I didn't expect to happen.  As more and more join I thought the sign up rates would slowly but steadily increase.  I was wrong, but I am still happy overall with how this program is unfolding.  The graph below shows the trend over the past 10 weeks and you can see the obvious spike up this last week.  I don't know why, but it's nice to see.

Mar 15 2010 - Over 500 members now.  Got a couple this last week.  It has really slowed down these last few weeks which defies logic.  As more people join it should speed up and snowball but that just isn't the case at the minute.  Nevertheless it still earns money consistently every week so I can't complain about that.  Let's see what the future holds for this one ..
